The following is a list of our current aircraft and rental rates:
Cessna 150- $123/Hobbs hour
The Cessna 150 is one of the most popular 2-seat training aircraft ever produced. It is a docile yet capable aircraft. It's a bit tight for larger-framed individuals though. Read more about it
Cessna 172N - $160/Hobbs hour
The Cessna 172 is currently the most popular training aircraft in the world . It has 4 seats and is roomier than the Cessna 150 and makes a great trainer for those who are larger-framed or just more comfortable with a little more space than the 150. This model is extremely clean and modernized with updated avionics.
Piper Cherokee 140 Cruiser - $130/Hobbs hour
The Piper Cherokee 140 Cruiser, part of the Piper PA-28 series of aircraft, is popular training aircraft . It has 4 seats but approaches max weight with 2 larger adults and full fuel. It's roomier than the Cessna 150 thus makes a great trainer for those who are larger-framed or just more comfortable with a little more space than the 150. This model has various speed mods to make it a faster than the stock model. Read more about it
Grumman Cheetah AA-5A - $150/Hobbs hour
This Cheetah has been upgraded to an all-glass/electronic panel with the addition of a Dynon HDX & D30 along with an Avidyne IFD440 GPS/Com/Nav. The Cheetah is a fun, 4-place aircraft with sliding canopy for easy in/out. Read more about it
Liberty XL-2- $140/Hobbs hour
The newest-model aircraft at the flight school, this 2007 Liberty XL-2 is a modern, carbon-fiber fuselage aircraft with advanced avionics and engine controls. It is an extraordinarily capable IFR aircraft so is ideal for those seeking more advanced ratings or as a cross country rental. However, it is docile enough for even low-time pilots to competently handle. Equipped with a Garmin 530W/430W combo, an Aspen PFD1000, and an S-Tec 30 Autopilot it qualifies as a TAA (Technically Advanced Airplane) and thus meets the requirements for a commercial rating. Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche - $299/Hobbs hour (wet)
The newest aircraft to the flight school, the venerable Piper Twin Comanche is available for multi-engine ratings and time building, as well as an available rental (for qualified pilots). With its Garmin 430W GPS, HSI, and Century 2000 autopilot it's a very capable aircraft, while the dual 160hp Lycoming IO-320 engines provide 170 knots (true) airspeed at only 17 gallons/hour. Available for rental with 15 hrs make & model and 300 hrs total time.
Piper PA-12 Super Cruiser Seaplane - $200/Hobbs hour
Our newest offering - getting a seaplane rating in this fantastic Piper seaplane! Based at nearby Dumont Lake it's conveniently located in an area with numerous lakes around. There's few things more fun and exciting than flying off water. The training in this aircraft is for existing pilots only but it's a relatively easy add-on to your current license. Seaplane training is offered April through October.
All aircraft rental rates are a 'wet' rate which includes fuel and oil.
Redbird FMX AATD -$65/Hobbs hour
The Redbird FMX Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) is a full-motion virtual reality flight simulator. This simulator can be used to log the following time:
- 2.5 hours for Private
- 20 hours for Instrument
- 50 hours for Commercial ratings
- 25 hours for ATP
- IFR Currency (6 instrument approaches, course intercepts, and holds within 6 mo.)
- Single engine G1000 and steam-gauges (C172), plus multi-engine steam configs available (Seneca)
Instruction
Single-Engine Basic instruction rate is $55 per hour. Basic instruction time includes that for sport, private, and commercial ratings.
Single-Engine Advanced instruction is $65 per hour. Advanced instruction includes that for Instrument and CFI instruction along with high performance and complex endorsements.
Multi-Engine Instruction is $75 per hour at all levels.
All instruction prices are for both ground and flight instruction and is billed in .1 hr increments.Rental Agreement
It is required for all students, instructors, and renters to read and sign our aircraft rental agreement.
Payment and Billings
Aircraft and Instructor time is billed in hours and tenths of hours for actual time used. For instructors this means ground and flight instruction time.
Credit/Debit cards or checks are accepted for payment - we are not equipped to handle cash payments.
Payment for rental and instruction is expected at the conclusion of the rental and/or instruction session. Payment is made online via the scheduler (Flight Circle). Checks can only accepted via pre-arrangement and mailed to:
